October 25th Remembrance
This October, we invite our community to join in remembrance. Together, we honor the lives lost, the survivors, and all who carry the impact of October 25, 2023.
There are many ways to take part — from wearing blue to sharing a memory online. Whether you join us at the public gathering on October 24 or reflect from your own home or gathering, your remembrance matters.
Ways to Remember
- Wear Blue on October 24th and 25th
- Hold a moment of silence at 6:56pm and 7:08pm on October 25th
- Light a candle and reflect on October 24th and 25th
- Pick up a Remberance Bag at:
- LA Metro Chamber (Monday – Thursday, 8am to 4pm)
- Maine Resiliency Center (Tuesday – Thursday, 3pm to 6pm)
- Share a memory of a loved one, or of your experience, using #OneLewiston and #TogetherWeRemember
- Attend an upcoming commemoration event

Oct 24th Public Gathering of Rememberance
Friday, October 24th at 4pm | Longley Bridge
Community members are invited to gather at the bridge near Veterans Memorial Park for a visible show of remembrance. “We Remember” signs will be available, along with a sign-making station, candles, and Remembrance Bags. Participants are encouraged to stand together, or to drive by and honk in support, as we begin 24 Hours of Remembrance.
Where to Park
Parking is available in the Lincoln Street Parking Garage, the North Gravel Parking Lot, and in the Great Falls Plaza lot (near the Transportation Hub).
Attendees are asked to be mindful of parking reserved for businesses in the area.
